Now everyone should be able to link content from Instagram – this was preceded by a month-long test for a selected group. All users should be able to add a sticker to their pictures that contains a link. Any hyperlinks can be stored in a sticker link and the content can then be called up with a tap or click.
Head of Instagram, Adam Mosseri, justifies this change with frequent inquiries about this function. Previously, the link stickers could only use verified accounts with more than 10,000 followers.
Companies should benefit from the new option and be able to better market products, as Instagram reports.
Function can be withdrawn again
According to Instagram, accounts that were created less than 30 days ago should not have access to the link stickers for the time being. We were still able to do this in a test. Conversely, some accounts that meet the requirements did not have access to the feature. The function should be withdrawn from users who distribute harmful content.
